Dear Melba Moore.  I was just listening to the Choice CD by DJ Louis Vega (of MAW) that is all about music that inspired him to be the great DJ that he is and on that CD is "Standing Right Here".  It is the long version and it is still such a great song.  You go to so many emotional places in that song. You start out pleading and yearning but with hope and subtlely turn to hurt & anger and end up demanding what you deserve from the man who abandoned you.  Girl, you tear it up.  And when you go off @ the end w/ "And I want it!", it is perfection.  I bought all of you albums when I was a kid and I still have them.  i still play "Standing Right Here" & "You Stepped Into My Life" @ any party I throw, and girl, we all get up and dance to them.  I also love your version of "The Long and Winding Road".  You know, dance music is such a wonderful music form but seemingly is not taken seriously by those in charge of the industry, but it has such power and always has throughout the history of this earth.  It causes complete strangers to get together and express complete joy through movement.  I hope you continue to give us great music w/ your inspiring vocals and remember, you will forever create magic w/ those 2 great dance songs from the past.  I love your talent.  Thank you.
